The Third island our cruise ship stopped at, on our 2007 tour round the Greek Cyclades, was the easternmost island of Amorgos. Dispite its use in the film 'The Big blue', the Island is far from touristy, making it perfect for a quite getaway, as long as you don't want to do much.

For the first three days of our holiday in Greece during the summer of 2007, Kristi and I stayed in the capital city, Athens. We spent this time viewing the many archaeological sites, from the Acropolis to Hadrian’s Gate and the temple of Olympian Zeus.

Whilst staying in Athens during our 2007 trip to Greece, Kristi and I took a day trip from the Bustle of Athens to Delphi, located in the hills north of the city. Delphi was the famous home of the Oracle, and was considered in those days to be the centre of the known world.

The Second island our ship wayed anchor in, during our 2007 cruise of the Greek Cyclades, was the island of Ios. The main town of Chora was quite a maze of narrow multi-levelled streets. We kept being led into someone's back yard as we tried to navigate them.

The beach island of Milos, was the first island at which our cruise ship stopped during our 2007 holiday in Greek Cyclades . There were plenty of strikingly beautiful and contrasting beaches here, including the white rock moonscape of Sarakiniko beach.

The largest of the Greek islands that make up the Cyclades and forth on our cruise in 2007. Naxos is home to what is known as 'The Gate', the doorway of a temple that was never finished.

The fith stop on our cruise around the Aegean sea during 2007. For us it will forever be known as the island of steps, due to the constant climbing or decending of steps where ever we went on the island.

The final island in our cruise of the Greek Cyclades during the summer of 2007. This island had the steepest and windiest climbs to the hilltop town that overlooked the harbour. But the views were worth the effort once we finally reached the summit.

During our 2007 holiday in Greece Kristi and I travelled down to Zea Marina in Piraeus port, south of Athens. There we boarded the Easy Cruise ship that would take us round the Cyclades over the next week.
